Aidyn has developed an intuitive platform for oral exams, powered by AI, which promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills among students.
Interactive white boxes
AI as a black box in the education field: students use it, but the exact functioning and reliability of the information remain unclear. Additionally, teachers are unaware of the questions their students ask. Aidyn's goal is to transform this black box into a transparent white box, turning AI from foe to friend. The startup achieves this by providing students with the assurance that they are working with reliable sources and giving teachers the insights to make AI work for their educational goals.
The Aidyn platform offers a 'white box' for each subject based on an LLM with Dutch norms and values. This system integrates the curriculum, learning objectives, and teaching methods of the educational institution. Through cross-learning among these white boxes, the Aidyn platform evolves with students, teachers, and subjects by sharing information and learning from each other. These interactive white boxes engage positively with students, for example through Socratic dialogues or feedback on essays. Teachers gain insights at the subject level into which topics are not well understood and receive advice to improve their subject. Thus, Aidyn contributes to the development of essential skills: critical thinking, problem-solving ability, and verbal communication skills.
Aidyn is based in Nijmegen.
